Global Fitness Institute is an approved training provider for Skills Victoria - Securing Jobs for your Future program.

The main focus of this funding initiative is to encourage, and give more people the opportunity, to obtain or upgrade their qualifications via Government subsidized/funded training.

Subsidized training is currently available for ALL our qualifications delivered in Victoria (face to face, distance and/or online)

Students are able to enrol in multiple qualifications at one time as long as they meet eligibility criteria. There is no limit to how many courses you can be funded.

Eligibility Criteria

A subsidised place is guaranteed to ANY person who meets the eligibility requirements.

Citizenship/Residency status

(you must answer yes to one of the following)

• Are you an Australian Citizen?
• Are you an Australian permanent resident (holder of a permanent resident visa)?
• Are you a holder of a special category Visa (subclass 444, New Zealand citizen)?
• Are you an east Timorese asylum seeker?, or
• Are you a holder of a temporary protection visa?

Age / Qualification criteria

(based on your age as of January 1st in the year of enrolment)

a) All persons Under 20 years of age - 

Automatically eligible for all our courses (even if you’re still in school)

b) Persons aged 20 years and over  -

You are eligible to gain funding for enrolment in a course that is a higher qualification

than you have previously completed. 

c)  Retrenched workers

Eligible for any level of qualification, regardless of age, as long as it is a higher level of qualification than you currently possess, and you have a separation certificate and be registered with an employment agency.

National Assistance

All Global Fitness Institute courses are Centrelink approved

All of our students are eligible for Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABstudy and the Pensioner Education Supplement through Centrelink, subject to Centrelink eligibility conditions, for any of our courses.

Victorian Assistance

Parents Returning to Earning - $1000 Grant 

Global Fitness Institute is an approved provider of the Parents Returning to Earning Grant scheme.

These grants can be used towards the costs of any of our courses.

The Returning to Earning program provides support to parents to return to work after an absence caring for children. Grants of up to $1000 are available which can be used to cover any costs associated with approved training, such as books and materials, course fees, transport and childcare.

Healthcare Card Holders

Students who are eligible for Skills Victoria Government funding, who are also holders of a valid healthcare/concession card, are able to enrol in as many Certificate III and/or IV courses for only $187.50.

Self funded students who present a copy of a valid healthcare/concession card are eligible for a 10% discount off their total course fees.

When using the online enrolment form, and you currently have a valid healthcare/concession card, choose the 'Heathcare Card' option when making payment and one of our team will be in touch with you for further information.
